Waccel Founder: Yoshihiro Shimamura
Born in Hyogo Prefecture. He founded his first business as a teenager and has been active in a wide range of fields including as a businessman, investor, and film producer. Currently, as an investor, he has become a major shareholder in companies such as Hankyu Hanshin Holdings Corporation, CyberAgent, Inc., Asahi Broadcasting Television Holdings Corporation, and Oricon Inc., with the assessed value of his shareholdings reaching tens of billions of yen. He is also the top individual shareholder of TV Tokyo Holdings Corporation.
As a film producer, he has continued to create works targeting worldwide sales; his 1st, 2nd, and 3rd films received awards at international film festivals, and his latest work entered the top 1st and 2nd place rankings in 6 countries on Netflix, debuting at No. 1 in the United States.
He was interviewed by Bloomberg as an individual investor and film producer, sharing his outlook on IP and content stocks for 2026 and his investment strategy.

In 2025, he published The Millionaire's Community Capital Theory for Surviving the 100-Year Life Era, which won 7th place in the Overall Grand Prix and 2nd place in the Economics & Money Category.

Waccel General Producer: Tomohiro Sumitani
Born in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Graduated from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science and Technology, Keio University. While still a student, he tried his hand at stock investment and venture business, though without success. After graduating, he worked in a sales position at a major securities firm. Through encounters with hundreds of business owners, he began to aspire to become an entrepreneur himself, and became a student of Waccel founder Yoshihiro Shimamura, who was expanding across multiple businesses through collaboration. Putting Shimamura's teachings into practice, he became independent and established his own company in 2017. He currently manages multiple companies, including Tech-sector startups, and assumed the role of Waccel General Producer in January 2021.
